8th Grade Photos and Bio Packets

Reminder to all 8th grade students that your Biography packets and baby photos are due by January 11th. Please make sure to bring your completed packet into school to ensure all fo your information will be included in the yearbook. Yearbook Cover Contest

The Yearbook Committee is still accepting submissions for our Yearbook Cover Contest. We encourage all ages to submit artwork. The deadline for the contest is January 11th. If you have any questions, please email Ms. Saffo at saffov@fcsuvt.org.

Reminder: Because of the short week ,there will not be any tutoring this week and Open Doors is closed.

Please wear RED, WHITE, OR BLUE on Monday December 20th in honor of our military families.

A reminder that from 8-8:30 we will host a 'Welcome Home' breakfast for military families in the library.
(Please let Caroline Fitzgerald know of anyone who may be interested in attending beyond our school family).

8:30-9:00 We will have a K-8 'Welcome Home' Celebration in the big gym with a patriotic concert by the SACS Senior Band.

Kindergarten Holiday program: The Holiday program will take place in the Big Gym on December 22nd. Please be seated by 11:50 for a 12:00 performance.

SACS 8th Grade Yearbook Advisor

School is in Session Thursday December 9th

School is open today, December 9th. All activities will resume. Teachers will contact parents who missed their child's Learning Showcase because of the snow day and train incident.

As planned, there will be no classes tomorrow (December 10th), for the Learning Showcase conferences.

City School Hoop Shoot Results
City School was well represented at the annual Elks Hoop Shoot Free Throw Competition. The event took place on Saturday December 4th at the BFA gymnasium. This event was the county competition. The results were:


12-13 year age group: 10-11 year age group: 8-9 year age group:

Brendan Gervais 1st place Isaac LeBlanc 1st place Logan Tobin 1st place
Olivia Venturo 3rd place Andi Esenler 1st place Paige Jaycox

The students that finished in 1st place will now move on to the next round of competition in Newport, Vt on December 8th.

The Franklin Central Supervisory Union Annual Art Show will be Dec. 13-17 @ the St. Albans Armory Reception
Monday Dec. 13 @ 5:30-7:30. Refreshments will be included. Show will be open from 8:00 am to 5:00pm. Tuesday through Friday
