Senior and Junior band All star parade:

Parade starts at the town school, members of the band need to be there by 5:15. Parade starts off at 6 pm, and City is 2nd in the parade. Parade goes down Main St. and ends at the parking lot of the old Fonda plant.


Softball and baseball game:Wednesday,May 4th . St. Albans vs. Fairfax on the home field. Game starts at 4:30.



PTO: The PTO has a meeting on Wednesday,May 4th at 3:30 in the Library.

Announcement 04-27-11







8th Grade: On Thursday May 5, 2011 from 1:15 -2:45 BFA will be at St. Albans City School to assess the 8th graders that have signed up for Biology.

"Maple rules in St. Albans" and our very own St. Albans City School Ruled the Maple Festival Parade!
St. Albans celebrated their 45th Annual Vermont Maple Festival during our school vacation break. For those of you who did not have an opportunity to attend the parade, you missed a sweet treat! St. Albans City School was well represented in the parade. Our Drama Club, Composters, Jr. Iron Chefs, MathCounts, Athletes, Open Doors, Bucket Fillers, Staff and Parent Volunteers did an amazing job and their efforts were acknowledged.
Congratulations on winning BEST SCHOOL! We are so proud of our school and thank all of our wonderful students, staff and volunteers who marched. Way to go!


The Cookie Dough is Here: Please come to St. Albans City school on Thursday April 28th between the hours of 3:00 -6:00pm to pick up your orders.The PTO will be located by the Big Gym doors. Kindergarten Graduation pictures: Picture day for kindergarten graduation will be on Wednesday,May 4th . There will not be any retakes.


Minute to Win It- The minute to Win It fundraiser will be held on Saturday,April 30th from 9am-11am in the big gym.

Announcements 04-26-11

RIF: The final RIF (Reading is Fundamental) book distribution will be held on Tuesday April 26th. All students in grades PK-8 will receive a free book of their choice to bring home and keep. This will be the third such event of the school year. If you have questions or comments regarding this program please contact Meg Jarvis at 527-0565 ext 5002.

Tae-kwon-do Showcase
What :
Students from grades 3-8, sharing the skills and knowledge they have obtained over a 20 week, TKD training period.

Explorers: The explorers are going on a field trip to the Essex Tech Center.They will be leaving on Thursday,April 28th from 9:00am-1:00pm.

Team Incredibles and Team Discovery: Will be going on a field trip on Friday ,April 15th to the welden theatres. They will be leaving at 8:50am and return at 11:45am. The Dynamic Design and Investigators Teams: Will be going on a field trip April 15th to the maple festival to see Marco the magician. They will be gone from 12:30pm-2:35pm.

Beginning and Jr. Band : Will be having their annual spring concert on Tuesday, April 12th at 7:00pm in the cafeteria.


Suessical field trip: The cast of Suessical the Musical will be going on a field trip to MVU in swanton on Wednesday, April 13th. They will be leaving school at 8:15am and returning at 11:30am.


Minute to win it!!: Will take place in the big Gym on Saturday,April 30th. Registration is at 9am. Teams of four(ages 8 and up)will participate in 12-Minute To Win It!! challenges. Sponsorship is $40.00(minimum)per team. Free childcare is available from 9-11. Prizes will be awarded for the team that raises the most (sponsorship) money and the winning team(team that wins the most challenges) To benefit team Trainer.

Pick up registration forms at St.Albans Fire department,Advantage wireless(next to Burger King), St.Albans city school ,Hannaford supermarket and The fitness Zone.

Announcements 04-8-11







Team USA: a 7th & 8th grade team at St. Albans City School, spent the morning of April 5, 2011 walking the city streets. The goal was to locate and map all street lights. They are working on a project for the City of St. Albans and Efficiency Vermont. The team will create a map showing all lights, research the effective usage of lights, and then make a recommendation to the City. 5-8 Voltage Cheerleading- Sign ups will be on Saturday at 4:00pm at the complex. The Spring Book Fair is coming, April 11-17. The Book Fair is open daily from 8 am - 4 pm and Thursday night from 6-9 pm Clifford the Big Red Dog will visit SACS again Thursday night. Proceeds from the Book Fair go to the SACS PTO which supports field trips, hardship scholarships and many other programs. The Book Fair also puts many books in our library and classrooms. Please come visit the Book Fair next week in the library or next weekend in the gymnasium during the annual Maple Festival Pancake Breakfast. Volunteers are needed! Open Doors: Please be informed that the Open Doors summer camp brochure will be available early to mid May. The camp weeks will be: June 20-June 24th (for students entering 3rd-8th grade) July 11-July 15 (for students entering 3rd-8th grade) July 18-July 22 (for students entering 4th-8th grade) this is tech savvy camp The Open Doors Camps will be held at the Town School. The town school is a NUT FREE school. This means that all food brought into the school must be nut free and cannot be made in a facility that processes nut products. You will hear this reminder often as this is an important detail and we want things to run smoothly this summer. Thank you! Congratulations to Logan Tobin This past weekend Logan participated in the New England finals of the National Elks Hoop Shoot in Maine. Logan did well finishing in 3rd place overall in his age division. He made 18 out of 25 baskets. Great job Logan!!!!
The Dynamic Design Team just did stellar technological presentations on the Human Body Systems. Presentations included Prezi’s, Glogster;s, Power Points, Movie Maker’s and Photo Stories.Great job!!
