Green Ribbon

To celebrate our Green Ribbon, we had a dance party at lunch!

To help us get ready for the sing-a-long, Mrs. Biggie came down to sing with us at lunch on Monday.

News from Odyssey of the Mind

Our very own Odyssey of the Mind team departed two weeks ago to compete at the World Finals in East  Lansing, MI.  There were over 820 teams from 12 nations competing among a variety of problems and divisions.  Our team placed 29th out of 55 teams in the Division II Pet Project Problem.  The problem was to design, build, and run three vehicles that delivered six parts to an assembly area. The parts had to be assembled into a pet animal, and the animal then had to perform a trick.  The theatrical presentation included the delivery of the parts, the assembly, and the pet animal.

“I am very proud of our team for their perseverance, teamwork, and great attitude throughout the World Finals week.  Know that all four team members:  Alison, Bethany , Johnny (JD)  and Ethan represented City School to the best of their ability- with great poise and determination!  Ethan was an amazing pinch hitter;  without his help, we wouldn’t have fared so well at the competition.  JD built a fan car from scratch, the girls wrote the script, and they all worked on the set, costumes, and ramps.  We had a lot of fun meeting teams from around the world and seeing how they solved the odyssey problems.   A huge thanks to everyone who supported our fundraising efforts along the way!” Michelle Leduc – proud parent and Odyssey Coach
