Summer Reading

On Wednesday, CLiF (Children's Literacy Foundation) and SACS hosted a Summer Readers Event with special guest author Amy Huntington. Children were treated to a presentation, a story, and then were able to pick two books to take home. Happy Reading!

Summer Feeding

SACS and all other summer feeding sites will be closed on Friday July 4th. Enjoy the long holiday weekend and we will see you Monday!

Open Doors

Open Doors bus information for the second camp which begins Monday, July 14th has been mailed home. Please call 752-6029 if for some reason you have not received your bus pick-up and drop off time for the second camp.

Open Doors is happy to announce that there are twelve students signed up to take the babysitting course that is being offered through the Red Cross. This class is being offered in partnership with the St. Albans Library.  Thank you MaryPat Larrabee, Director of the St. Albans Library for helping Open Doors offer this great training to the students!

Open Doors is happy to take names for future babysitting classes as we have reached the maximum number for the class.  Just call 802-527-0565 ext 1103 to get your name on the list for future classes.

Summer Meals

Summer Meals are in full swing here at SACS and all around the city. It's been so much fun to connect with students and families at breakfast and lunch, and it's also been wonderful getting to meet new families as well. We are excited to announce a new site at Community Action/Franklin County Food Shelf on 5 Lemnah Dr. in St. Albans! Breakfast is served Monday-Friday from 8:30 - 9:30 and Lunch is from 1:00 - 2:00pm. All sites will be closed on July 4th.
