Bus Information:
St.
Albans City School for a short period of time did not have a bus
company working with us for the upcoming school year. Terricel Transit
has stepped up and will be the company that will work with us this
year. What does that mean for your child? We are so pleased to let you
know that our bus drivers have chosen to join the new company. Dave,
Stephanie, Cheryl, Pam and Tina who know our children will continue to
make sure that our students are brought to and from school safely.
To
make this transition, we have made a few changes to our bus schedules.
First, we are running 5 buses instead of 7. This will save money for
our community, and with our new design, offer a better solution for our
school. Each bus will run 3 schedules, The A Run supports a 7:45-2:45 day, The B Run supports an 8:15-3:15 day and the PreK/K Run supports an 8:15 - 2:15 day.
The biggest benefit will be a much shorter bus run for our youngest
students since all bus drivers will pick up our PreK and Kindergarten
students. We will also have an extra adult on each bus for the Prek/K
run to make sure that their safety is of high priority and the
adjustment to school is as positive as it can be, with a very clear
instructional component.
Our
A and B session is based on where people live within the City limits.
Due to population adjustments we have had to tweak this defining line.
Families that will be affected have been notified. For more information
