Hunter
Dad gets the turkey at WalMart. He walks over to a refrigerator. He picks a 5 pound turkey. It cost $6. Dad brings the turkey home and puts it on a shelf for five days. Dad puts the turkey in the sink. He fills the sink with water. He leaves the turkey in the water for five minutes. Dad puts the turkey on a plate. He puts cheese on the turkey so it will taste good. The turkey goes in the oven for five days. The oven is hot- 7 degrees. Dad takes his mitts and pulls the turkey out. Dad cooks. I sit and wait. I set up my tray table. I pray with Dad before we eat. We eat turkey, cheese, chicken nuggets, cheese sticks and cereal. I don’t like vegetables. Dad likes broccoli. We have chicken nuggets for dessert. After Dad and I play cars.

Kenna
Mom gets a turkey from the frozen section of the grocery store. She gets a turkey that is 10 pounds and cost $5. She brings it home and puts it in warm water for 10 minutes. Dad pulls out the wishbone. Bri and I do the wishbone. Dad puts the turkey on a tray. The tray goes in the oven at 10 degrees for 5 minutes. We know when the turkey is done when it beeps. We all set the table. We play games while we wait for the turkey. We eat turkey, potatoes, carrots, green beans, and no fruit except pineapple. I am the only one that eats fruit. We have Halloween candy for dessert. After we eat we play more games. 
 





Josslynn
We just have one turkey. Dad brings a turkey home from the woods. The turkey was with all the animals and Ginger, my cat. The turkey walks to the barn with Ginger. Mom takes the turkey and cracks an egg over it. That is how you clean a turkey. Mom cleans the turkey because it stinks. Mom puts the turkey in the oven for one day. The oven is hot, very hot. Dad cuts up the turkey. Dad likes the turkey leg. Mom sets the table. Grandpa fixes his hair. Grandma watches Grandpa fix his hair. Aunt Kiki puts on makeup. We eat turkey, pizza, bread sandwiches, vegetable soup and strawberries. We have cereal for dessert. We all clean up. Then my family puts on makeup.




Lucy
Grandma, Uncle Joe, Aunt Debbie and my cousins Oliver and Evy all come to our house. Mom gets the turkey at Walmart. You walk past the Halloween stuff and go into the garden shop. Mom gets a turkey that is two pounds. She pays $15. Mom brings the turkey home and washes it downstairs in the big sink. Mom uses soap and water and washes the turkey all over with her hands. Mom puts the turkey in a pan and puts sugar on it so it will taste good. The oven has to be super hot- 100 degrees. Mom cooks the turkey for two minutes. Dad sets the table. We eat turkey, apples, spaghetti, hot dogs and carrots. Aunt Debbie brings vanilla and chocolate chip ice cream. Mom and Dad clean up. We all play after.

Isabelle
Grandpa, Grandma and Bob come to us for our feast. We eat at our house with Tatay and Nana. Dad goes to the Mall to get the turkey. T.J. Maxx has toys. You have to go to the middle of the mall and there is a big box. The box does not have a hole in the top. Dad picks the pink turkey. Dad gets a 5-pound turkey. The veterans hand out the turkeys or the T.J. Maxx people. The turkeys are free. Dad brings the turkey home and puts it on the counter for five hours until Mom is ready. Mom puts the turkey in the sink and turns the water on. She runs the water for 10 months. Mom wipes the turkey clean and puts it in a big pan. She adds pepper, salt, and gummy worms- the sour ones. Mom shakes the pan really well and cooks the turkey in a cold oven for 5 minutes. Mom cuts the turkey with a plastic knife. Mom sets the table. Before we eat we put our heads together and pray. We pray for Cha Cha.

We eat turkey, macaroni and cheese, fried and scrambled eggs, glue sticks that are gummies, and red and green apples. Samantha eats carrots, I don’t like carrots. Arianna eats all vegetables, no fruit. Dad makes chocolate chip cookies. After we play Spot-It and Bingo.
                 



Kholden
Dad goes to Food City. He walks to the turkey aisle. He buys a 10 pound turkey for $10. Mom puts the turkey in the sink. She adds milk to clean the turkey. She leaves it for ten hours. Mom takes the turkey and puts it on a dish. She adds salt and cheddar cheese. Mom puts the turkey in the oven. The oven has to be hot- 10 degrees. Mom cooks the turkey for 12 minutes. Dad checks to make sure the turkey is cooked. Dad pokes the turkey with a circle thing. Mom cuts up the turkey. Mom and I set the table. We light candles. We say what we are thankful for before we eat. I say thank you for ice cream. We eat turkey, beans, carrots, watermelon and tomatoes. We have pumpkin pie and chocolate ice cream for dessert. We all clean up. After we eat we play magic cards.




Nolan
Grandma Sonia and Mema come over. Mom gets the turkey at WalMart. You walk to the turkey area. It is past the #5 aisle. Mom picks a 500 pound turkey. It cost $1. Mom takes the turkey home and cleans it in hot water in the sink. Mom puts hot water in a cup with towels and puts it in the microwave with the turkey. Mom cooks the turkey for 65 minutes. Half way through Mom takes hot dogs from the freezer. She puts them in rolls and then puts them around the turkey. She puts the food back in the microwave. We eat turkey, hot dogs, milk, orange juice, watermelon, broccoli and carrots. We have chocolate cake for dessert. We all play with my Thomas the train set after we eat. 


Reid
Ree, Pop and Nana come over. Mom buys the turkey at Bob’s Meat Market. The turkey is 20 pounds and costs $20. Daddy carries it out to the car. Daddy puts the turkey on the kitchen counter for about 15 hours or until dinner time. When Mom is ready, she puts the turkey in the sink. She cleans it with soap and water. She puts soap all over the turkey and then she washes and dries the turkey. Mom puts the turkey in a pan and then she adds salt. The oven has to be hot- 20 degrees. Mom cooks the turkey for 15 minutes. Mom carves the turkey. Charlotte, Elizabeth and I set the table. Ree, Pop and Nana are sitting at the table waiting to eat. We eat turkey, salad, strawberries, carrots, peppers and cucumbers. We have vanilla ice cream with sprinkles, gummy bears and M&M’s. Ree and Daddy clean up. We all play Candyland.





               
Lucas
We go to my cousins’ house. Dad gets the turkey. Dad goes to the grocery store and buys a 2 pound turkey for $9. Mom cleans the turkey with a wipe. She puts the turkey in a pan. She puts salt on the turkey. Mom cooks the turkey for ten hours in an eight degree oven. We know the turkey is done when it beeps. Mom cuts the turkey. Dad sets the table. I play with my cousins. We all pray then we eat turkey, rice, salad, tomatoes and carrots. We have chocolate ice cream for dessert. Mom and Dad clean. We play board games after we eat.

Dad goes to a farm. He cuts the eyeballs out because that’s what farmers do. Mom says to pick out a red and black turkey. Dad hunts the turkey- first he has to ask the farmer if he can shoot it. Dad gets a 30 pound turkey and puts it in the back of the truck. Dad pays the farmer $2. The farmer gives Dad a discount. Dad brings the turkey to Mom. Mom cuts the head off. Mom puts the turkey in the bathtub. She gets the vegetable peeler and cuts the feathers off. Mom puts Dawn soap- that you use for dishes all over the turkey. She adds water and the turkey is all clean.Mom puts the turkey in a big pan. The pan is as big as a table. Mom has the biggest oven in the world. Mom puts spices on the turkey and puts it in the oven for 2,000 minutes. The oven is 100 degrees. Grandma, Uncle Theo and Uncle Kaleb eat with us. We say God Bless before we eat. We eat turkey, fish sticks, macaroni and cheese, and grapes. We have chocolate, strawberry and vanilla ice cream for dessert. Uncle Theo cleans. We give each other high fives. We laugh and dance. 



Emery
Dad gets our turkey at the Family Dollar store. Dad always takes me there so I can have Reese’s Pieces. The turkey is in the freezer. I have never weighed a turkey before but I think it weighs 13 pounds. Dad pays $13. Dad brings the turkey home and puts it in the sink. Mom cleans the turkey in the sink with water. She cleans the turkey for 13 minutes. She puts her hand in the turkey’s butt and pulls the heart out. The heart goes in a plastic bag and gets thrown in the garbage. Mom puts the turkey back in the water for one hour. Mom puts the turkey in a rectangle bowl and the bowl goes in the oven for two hours at 100 degrees. The turkey is done when it is all brown colors. I set the table. Grandma, Grandpa, Dillon, Dan and Heidi come. When the guests come, we eat.  We eat turkey, meatballs, noodles, broccoli, tomatoes, peas, corn, lettuce and cabbage. We have strawberry cupcakes for dessert. After we eat the cupcakes, everyone leaves.



Sophiaa
We eat with Grandma, Nana, Papa and Grammie.  Papa gets the turkey at Food City. He goes to the bakery and say I want a turkey. He gets a big turkey- 59 pounds. It is a big turkey so he puts it in a wagon. He pays $59 for the turkey. He walks home with the turkey in a wagon. Grandma takes a tub towel and rubs the turkey all over with soap. She washes it and leaves it in the tub for 9 hours. Mom adds salt and pepper and puts the turkey on the oven rack. She cooks the turkey for 9 hours. The oven has to be hot- 90 degrees. The turkey is done at 10:00. Mom sets the table. We all pray before we eat. We eat turkey, chicken nuggets, fries, carrots, potatoes, pears, strawberries and juice. Mom bakes cupcakes and we have them with ice cream for dessert. After we all dance.





Jarrad
We eat at Grandpa and Grandma’s house. I ride to a turkey farm on my motorcycle. I put on turkey gloves, pick up a turkey and put the turkey in the back of my truck. I have a truck and a motorcycle. The turkey is 10 pounds. I have to give the farmer my money. I give him a quarter. I put the turkey in the sink and clean it with water. I add sugar to make it taste really good. I toast the turkey in the toaster oven for 5 minutes. Grandpa, Grandma and I cook and set the table. Everyone else is watching cartoons. We eat turkey, chicken, cereal and we have apple juice. We have chocolate ice cream with sprinkles for dessert and more apple juice. We play Pop The Pig after we eat.
