Grandma has her driving license but we go to her house. Heidi
and Aunt Sara are with us. We all go to the store that has the
spooky decorations. It is called Kids.com. We pick out a
turkey. We grab one and put it in a big bag. We have 8 people so
the turkey is 8 pounds and it costs $5. We take it home and wash
it with a scrubby thingie. We put it in a pan and put sugar all over
the turkey. We also put cheese on top. We put the turkey in a
pan and put the pan on top of the stove and turn on the gas. We
cook the turkey for 5 minutes. When the turkey is done we put it
on a plate and everyone comes to the table. Heidi and I set the
table.

We eat as a family. We have turkey, mashed potatoes,
boiled carrots, bacon, pretzels ( I love pretzels), broccoli and
apples. For dessert we have ice cream with rainbow sprinkles.
Everyone cleans up except my brothers, they play. After we
clean we all dance.

Jamie

We have Thanksgiving at our house. Mom gets the turkey at
WalMart. It costs $2 and weighs 4 pounds. Mom and I clean the
turkey in the sink. We pour ice over the turkey and leave it for
8 hours. Now it is cold and clean. We put it in a pan and put spicy
soup all over the turkey. We add sweet and sour sauce. We put it
in the oven for 5 hours at 6 degrees. Mom keeps checking the
turkey by looking at it. She takes the turkey out of the oven
and puts it on a cutting board so she doesn’t make a mess. We eat
turkey, chips, spicy soup, carrots, potatoes and we have a
strawberry juice to drink. For dessert we have ice cream- I love
the coffee kind. My mom, my sister and I clean up. Dad just eats.
(He does help cook.) We say who we are thankful for. I am thankful
for my dogs and cats. Free illustration: Turkey, Cash Strapped, Bust, Arm - Free Image ...

bigger than the turkey. She adds salt. She puts it in a hot oven-
5 degrees and cooks it for one minute. Poppy takes the turkey out
and puts it on a big tray on the counter. My sisters and I set the
table. (Even Josie helps.) My Mom and Dad bring Gouda cheese and
saltines.

without feathers. All the yucky stuff goes into the garbage. Then
you put the turkey in water. The turkey machine goes on top of the
stove. Dad adds the turkey, salt, pepper and he hasn’t told me the
last ingredient.
