Favorite Teacher was Mrs. Provost Good Friends were Kathy Roberts, Kelly Bruso and they still keep in touch After school activities included soccer and band Favorite school activity was “the Gym Show!” Favorite student memory “getting off the bus at home after my first day of school and running to tell my mom how great it was!” Has worked here for a total of 10 years Coming back to work at City School was “welcoming!”

Has worked here for 21 years Coming back to work at City School was “like coming full circle. Individuals that I had as teachers were now my colleagues and I was calling them by their names!! There is a lot of history for me here at City School”.

She was not sure about working at the same school she attended as a child. It must have been fate because she has been here for 33 years!

Favorite school activity was chorus Favorite student memory “was being in the first graduating class from City School and making lots of new friends.” Has worked here for 6 years Coming back to work at City School was “enlightening. It is very different now, than when I was in school.”

Graduated from 8th grade in 1984 Attended City School from 1st grade through 8th grade. There were no Kindergarten classes at the time. Favorite subject was P.E. and he had it 5 days a week Favorite UA class was P.E. and Industrial Arts (woodshop, metal shop, small engines, drafting) Had so many favorite teachers that he can’t pick just one Good Friends were Luke Cioffi and John Boomhover. They are currently coaching a hockey team together. Favorite memories as a student “was my 7th & 8th grade years. We had some great times with the band on exchange trips, spaghetti dinners, marching, and districts. Our after school sports (Suicidal Sports Association) with our teachers will always be remembered for the extreme competition and camaraderie. The gym show used to be the highlight of the year. The many events and stunts were amazing. It is hard to believe they let most of 7th & 8th graders light up candles in the gym! The time and effort Mr. Marlow and Ms. Z put into the show must have been exhausting.” After school activities included band and playing sport activities after school with a group of teachers Favorite school activity was “The Gym Show”! He has worked here for 26 years When I came back to City School “all of my former teachers were extremely supportive and influential in shaping who I am as a teacher. I found my new colleagues were wonderful and kind to me. My education continued with them as I joined them in our work every day. For the first year it was a bit awkward calling my teachers by their first names (My parents would never let me do that!) and trying to get to know them as my peers. It was a bit strange at first but once I got to know them as my colleagues it was a blast”

Graduated from 8th grade in 1972 Attended City School in 7th and 8th grade Favorite subject was social studies Favorite UA class was home economics(now FACS class!) and woodworking Favorite Teachers were Mr. Bennett 7th grade social studies, and Mrs. Fairchild, 8th grade social studies Made lots of great friends when the schools merged and she came to City School. She still keeps in touch with many of them. After school activities included manager for the girls basketball team and student council Favorite school activities were attending athletic events and the fun school dances! Favorite student memory was when she and her friends convinced Mr. Durfee to allow the 8th grade girls to sign up for “shop” class Has worked here for 20 years Coming back to work at City School has “allowed her to give back to the community who gave so much to her”

They still keep in touch! Favorite school activity was serving Thanksgiving lunch for the senior citizens in our cafeteria every year Has worked here for 10 years Favorite memory was playing for the “Running Raiders” basketball team in 8th grade Coming back to work at City School was incredible. “It was a great opportunity to work with my father and a few of my teachers from when I attended school here”

She was the dog in Annie and the clock in Beauty and the Beast Favorite student memory was dancing in the Talent Show Has worked here for 9 years Coming back to work at City School was an honor; I am proud to serve the community in which I live and raise my daughter, who also is in first grade here at City School!
