Vermont Youth Orchestra Association Opportunities

The Vermont Youth Orchestra Association (VYOA)  is presenting either "Rug Concert" in St. Albans at the First Congregational Church on Sat Sept 28th. The Rug Concert is an hour-long program that introduces instruments (oboe, trombone, viola, and piano) to young audiences. Designed for children ages 0-5, it's also fun and entertaining for slightly older children and adults!  This is a FREE event, generously sponsored by the VYOA.

I've attached a flyer suitable for sending home in a "Friday Folder" or in/around in your classroom. I hope you will encourage your students and families to attend.

You may or may not also know that the Vermont Youth Orchestra Association has extended it's Lesson Program
to St. Albans (http://www.vyo.org/LESSONS/). I believe this is special for Franklin county as there are many subsidy opportunities for these lessons, making string lessons much more affordable for families - and far closer than driving to Colchester!  Currently, violin and viola lessons are available in town, and other instruments may be available with sufficient demand.
