Response to Hurricane Irene Devastation


HELP FAMILIES AFFECTED BY HURRICANE IRENE

FRANKLIN CENTRAL SUPERVISORY UNION IS COLLECTING ITEMS TO HELP SUPPORT THE THOUSANDS OF FAMILIES AFFECTED BY HURRICANE IRENE.

PLEASE TAKE A LOOK AT THE ITEMS BELOW AND IF THERE IS ANYTHING YOU CAN SPARE OR WOULD LIKE TO GIVE PLEASE BRING THEM TO ST. ALBANS CITY SCHOOL, BFA-ST. ALBANS, FAIRFIELD SCHOOL, OR ST. ALBANS TOWN SCHOOL.
THE ITEMS WILL BE COLLECTED THERE AND WILL BE DISPERSED TO COMMUNITIES IN NEED ON SEPTEMBER 12TH. EVERYTHING HELPS!

Here’s a list of some of the things that Vermonters will need over the next few days, weeks and even months. Every bit counts….what can you spare?
• Personal hygiene products (toothpaste, toothbrush, deodorant, shampoo, feminine hygiene products)
• Baby items (including diapers and wipes)
• Paper products
• Flashlights
• First aid supplies
• Non-perishable Food and Pet food
• Socks
• Underwear
• Batteries
• Flashlights
• Cleaning Supplies –Cleaners, gloves ect.
• Trash Bags
• Paper Towels and Plates
• New and Old Towels for cleaning and showering
• Hand Sanitizer
• Hand Soap
• Bottled Water


In addition, we will be hosting a Penny War at City School, with all proceeds going to support the families affected by the hurricane. Flyers for the food drive and Penny War will go home with students on Tuesday, September 6th. We will be ready to collect items on Tuesday as well.
