Announcements 3-8-12

News from The Explorers Culminating Event

The February 24th culminating event for the Explorer team took parental involvement to a new level.  Instead of showcasing favorite demonstrations, such as making Oobleck or Elephant’s toothpaste, or displaying representations of what the students learned, the students hosted a game of Jeopardy for their parents to play.  The students worked hard by creating questions and answers and by practicing what it looks like, sounds like, and feels like to host a game.  In addition, the students helped their parents study using a study guide that was sent home.  The parents really seemed to enjoy playing the game and they sure earned a lot of points!

NVAC Cheer Competition

St Albans City School 7/8 Cheerleading team competed in South Burlington over vacation at the annual NVAC Competition along with St. Albans Youth Cheer (K-4) and BFA JV and Varisty. Congratulations Cheerleaders!
