Announcements 10-3-12

News from Team USA

Our school has been entered in the Whole School Energy Challenge, a competition in which we are trying to decrease the school's energy bill by 10%. The Energy Committee of Team USA have asked each 4-8 community to appoint two "Energy Captains" to represent their community at a meeting discussing this topic. This meeting will be held on Wednesday, October 3, at 1:45 pm in the cafeteria. If you have any questions, please see Team USA.

St. Albans City School will be celebrating Veterans day on Monday, November 12th (the city celebration will be held on the 11th) The entire school population will walk up to Taylor Park for an 11:00 memorial by the Veterans, held for our students. We would like to feature student speakers as well. If your class is interested , please submit your teams best 2-3 minute patriotic speech. More information will follow!

Sustainable Fundraising Collection News

We hope you're all saving your Box Tops for Education, Labels for Education, and Tyson Project A+ Labels!

This year, learning communities will be competing to collect the most BoxTops and Labels each trimester, so please keep an eye out for those products when planning your shopping trips, and make sure to send them to school with your student.  Students should bring any collected labels to their homeroom teachers.

Please check out these websites for more information.
Remember, there are also lots of ways to earn online through bonus offers, games, and online shopping, and that turns into money for St. Albans City School!

Thanks for your support!
