Tom Reynolds, the Program Coordinator from North West Vermont Solid Waste Management District, was a guest speaker in the Renaissance Community on Wednesday. He shared information on reducing, reusing and recycling materials in our school community and in Franklin County. Renaissance students learned about landfills and the importance of minimizing the amount of waste that we produce. They also learned where our recyclables go once they leave our school and homes and what they are reused for. We were glad to hear that people in Vermont are among the leaders in the country for recycling.
