Incredibles Skype With Senator Leahy

On November 28
th,  the Incredibles 6th graders skyped with Senator Leahy. They learned information about what he does in Washington and for our state. Some students posed questions to Senator Leahy, and he responded in detail. Some questions involved Senator Leahy’s opinions and others were about his job. Most students described Senator Leahy being kind and cared about our state and our school.

Almost all the questions were  serious, except one. To top it off we asked a fun question, knowing he has been involved with four Batman movies. We posed the question of “Who was your favorite superhero and why?” He responded with a lot of detail and was very kind...Batman was his favorite superhero,  he mentioned about how he used to read about the Batman comics, when he was younger. Everyone loved the skype with Senator Leahy, and appreciated his time.

News from The Energy Committee

We have done experiments with the laser thermometer and found that the temperature of the inside of the outside wall is 68 degrees, the temperature of the window glass is 57 degrees and the temperature of the blinds when closed is 69 degrees. Having the blinds closed is like having no windows. Please remember to close your blinds every night. Also, don't forget to turn off your power strips.
