Announcements 1-24-13

News from Team USA


Team USA continues to work on their e-Cybermission projects!  eCYBERMISSION is a web-based Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) competition free for students in grades six through nine where teams can compete for State, Regional and National Awards while working to solve problems in their community.  USA students have been busy generating ideas and exploring the scientific method.

On Friday morning, the three middle school teams will hold a joint morning meeting at 8:15 to 8:30 in the library. We will share acmorning song! If anyone in ear shot wishes to join us, please feel free. Everyone is invited.

Following that meeting Captain Brian Dubie will be speaking in Team USA


Band

5th and 6th Jr. Band will be rehearsing today at 12:15, Jazz Band at 1, and full orchestra at 2:30. 5th grade flutes also have a lesson at 2 today.

Athletics


St. Albans Little League baseball and softball will begin ONLINE registration on February 1st for the 2013 season for boys and girls ages 5-12 and for registration for our pre-season baseball and softball clinics (ages 7-9 and 10-12).  Visit our website at www.stabaseball.org to register.  We will also hold live registrations on Wednesday, March 6th; Thursday, March 7th; and Friday, March 8th at St. Albans Town Educational Center from 6-8pm.   For more information contact Rob Green at 524-7167.

The 7/8 Boys and Girls Basketball Teams have their last home game of the season vs. Fairfax this afternoon. Go Raiders!
