Announcements 6-3-13

Green Ribbon

To win our Green Ribbon School award we had to show that we have worked hard to reduce our school's energy use.  Here is a video that shows one way in which students have been involved in the process.

Other things we have done to reduce our school's energy use are as follows...
-replaced our school's entire heating, air conditioning and lighting systems
-added thermal shades to our windows to keep heat in when we want it and out when we don't.
-put in a much more efficient hot water heating system
-changed our school's bus use patterns resulting in less driving and less fuel use

SACS Green Ribbon delegation is traveling to Washington DC today to receive our award!

News from Renaissance

On Friday, May 17th, the seventh grade students ran a fantastic carnival for the Traveler team.  Students designed games and activities for the 1-3 learning community.  Based on the compliments, and smiles we think everyone had a great time.  Well done Renaissance 7th Graders!

We are so proud of our 8th grade students for sharing their Personal Learning Plans.  It was a great evening filled with future aspirations and goals.
