Walking & Biking Safely to School

We have more students than ever choosing to walk and bike to school. Here are a few reminders about staying safe on the way to school.

For Bikers:

When crossing the tracks, you must walk your bike across. If you are biking with friends, make sure to walk in a single line across the track with your bikes so you are not getting too close to cars that are crossing.

For Walkers:

Always make eye contact with drivers, make sure they see you before you cross.

Stay Safe!

Open Doors

In an effort to help prepare students to transition to the high school, teachers at BFA are excited to offer classes after school at BFA for middle school students.  There are also classes for 7th/8th graders being held at City School or in the community, such as Zumba, St, Albans City School Chorus, and Archery at Pelkey’s Archery.  7th/8th graders have priority, and should register now.  Forms are available on the Open Doors webpage, and also through the 7th/8thgrade learning communities.  Please feel free to contact Suzanne, Open Doors (527-0565, ext. 1103) if you have any questions.

The other Open Doors brochure will be distributed on or before September 16th during the school day, and will be posted on the Open Doors webpage.
