Congratulations, Alyssa! Alyssa was awarded 3rd place for her essay entered into the Patriot's Pen writing contest sponsored by the VFW. This year's theme was "What Patriotism Means to Me." In an award ceremony on Monday December 16th at VFW Post 758 in St. Albans, Alyssa, who was the only winner from City School, received a prize of $50, which she plans to add to her college savings bank account. The Top 3 entries from the local VFW and Ladies' Auxiliary will next be judged at the VFW's district level. Good luck, Alyssa!
Band Concert - TONIGHT! 1/2/14
The Sr. Band and the Jazz Band are presenting our Winter Concert tonight at 7 pm in the cafeteria. Band members are to be in the band room at 6:30.
Full orchestra will be rehearsing on Friday, which is tomorrow, at 2 pm. This is a special time for just this week.
Band lessons for 6th grade and Jr. Band are not happening today.
