Raiders Got Talent comes to an end today. It was a great year filled with so much talent! Thank you to the SACS Jazz Band for performing during lunch last Wednesday and today we will conclude with a very special group of guest performers!

The Amazing Unified Arts night is tomorrow night, featuring soloists from 7-8 and the beginning band.
6th grade violins are tomorrow, and the City School Orchestra is presenting our winter concert on Thursday night.

On Tuesday January 21st from 5:00-7:00pm the Unified Arts teachers will be holding an open house at school. This is a family event that showcases what your child/children have been up to in Art, Music, PE, Tech Ed, Library and Family and Consumer Science this year. Scheduled events are as follows:

The Chauncey B Warner Scholarship
The time to apply is now! Deadline for all summer camp scholarship applications is April 1st. The Chauncey B Warner Foundation grants scholarships to children in Franklin County to participate in recreational activities. There are 2 separate categories of scholarships – The Endowment Fund – for classes, activities and sports, and The Camperships Fund for day camps and sport camps. Applications for both these funds are available at our office at Barlow Street Community Center, St. Albans City Hall and on our website – click on dept info, then click on forms. After you complete your application – mail it to the address on the bottom of the form – do not bring in or send it to the Recreation Department. After you receive your award letter, bring that the recreation office to register your child for programming.

St. Albans City School would like to welcome all incoming Kindergarteners (children who will be 5 before September 1st, 2014) and their parents to the 2014-2015 school year. Week 1 results are in! Team Imagination is off to a running start, but there are five more collection weeks to go! Keep up the clipping and collecting, City School! Remember, Box Tops count as 1 point, and Labels for Education will count as their face values of 1, 5, or 10 points. Please clip the complete bar code with Labels for Education and make sure we can see the expiration date on Box Tops.
