The District I Music Festival was held last weekend at MVU featuring selected members of SACS Senior Band along with band students from local area schools. Watch the videos below to see short excerpts from the concert.

Pancake Taste Test

Do you like pancakes?! Team Imagination is hosting a pancake taste test.  Ms. Cavallo and Mrs. Smith will be serving pancakes Thursday at breakfast.  Please fill out our survey after you eat the pancakes.

Autism Awareness Month

April is Autism Awareness Month. On Tuesday, students helped Mrs. Trainer and Mrs Gunter decorate the cafe with Autism Awareness drawings.

Words of the Week

We have two new words of the week.  They are:

Compare:  Identify ways things are the same (compare/contrast)

 Ex. Ms. Cameron-Muscente likes to compare rhythms with her class. 

Revisit: you think about or talk about it again

Ex.: Ms. Jarvis likes to revisit her days as a student here at SACS in the 1980s! (along with some other teachers. Can you guess who?)

Athletics

Softball is starting next Monday April 7, 2014. 

7-8 Grade Girls are welcome to come. 

Practice starts at 3:20 and ends at 445. Students can take the 4:45 bus or be picked up. If taking the late bus students must sign up for it by 1:00pm at the front desk.

Players should bring any softball related equipment that they have.

2014 Fitness Team

Practice will be on Wednesday and Thursday from 3:13-4:30.

Student can sign up for the 4:45 bus to take home after practice. Sign up in the front lobby by 1:00pm.

Team lists have been posted above the water fountains around the school.

Drama

Drama Rehearsal for today, 4/2/14, has been CANCELLED.

Rehearsals for  4/3 and 4/4 will be ending at 5:30 instead of 6:30.
