News from Mrs. Adams Class

Mrs. Adams class has sure been busy! Check out the photos below to see some of what they have been up to. 

Students from Mrs. Adams' class and from Ms. Aliquos class work together as book buddies every Friday morning!

Mrs. Adams class listens to a read aloud by our 7th grade mentor! The read aloud was followed by a project to support the story: Chicka Chicka boom boom

Band

Beginning cello students have their first lesson today, at  2:45.

Violin students who had the cross country meet can have a make up lesson at 2:45 on Wednesday afternoon.

Beginning band lessons for drums, oboe, and bass guitar are today. Check the schedule for the correct times.

Week Four Walking Contest Results

Team Triumph wins the Golden Shoe award for the week.  This team tracked walking miles to and from school and added in miles from a walking field trip to accumulate nearly 300 miles.  The Voyagers were close behind with students and staff walking many laps around the school path.

Open Doors

The Tuesday Open Doors classes begin on Tuesday, October 14th not today.

Walk to School Day on the Morning News 

Wednesday October 8th

Fox 44 News is sending a TV crew to highlight St. Albans City School's Walk-to-School-Day program.  Although the weather could be wet, we want the largest turnout possible for the walk.  Students, invite your parents to join us walking in. 

Please join one of the seven walking school bus route groups coming to school on Wednesday, or walk/bike in on your own.  Participants will receive pencils and stickers and wristbands once they get to school.  Adults who join in are welcome to coffee and cereal at the cafeteria.  If parents need transport home, something can be arranged.

Athletics

The 7/8 Soccer Teams have  home games this afternoon.
The 5/6 Soccer Teams have away games in Swanton this afternoon.
