Lettuce Growing Project

Kindergarten students are planting lettuce seeds this seed trays week.  These trays will be placed under grow lights and cared for by all the kindergarten students. The resulting lettuce will be harvested in February and shared in a kindergarten parent dinner in the cafeteria.  This project is a great way for young children to learn how plants grow.

Open Doors

The following Open Doors classes meet today Thursday, January 15^th

·         Language Sampling  at BFA  Session B students taking Language Sampling at BFA will board bus #3 at 3:10.   Students will check in with Open Doors at bus #3 before boarding the bus. If parents are picking up their children at BFA, please pick-up at the south side of BFA (where the big sign is)

• Kindness Center Creations

Chemistry, CHOMP for Families and Drumming for Success has ended.

All session A students taking Open Doors classes go to the cafeteria at 2:45 dismissal. It is very important that all students riding the buses afterschool follow the bus expectations.

Attention 8th Graders! It's time to preorder your yearbook. It's the only way to guarantee a copy. If you need an order form see Mrs. Gunter. Orders and money are due by 2/17/15.

Safety Tip

Remember that if you hear over the loudspeaker that we are going into a lockdown and you are not in or near your classroom, you go into the nearest room and lock the door. Do not try and get back with your class.

Band

Jr. Band is rehearsing today at 12:15

Could all of the 6th, 7th, and 8th grade orchestra students please to to the library this morning at 8:25 for a very short meeting.
