Stewardship News from Team USA

Team USA has been working on its Energy Stewardship. We have helped the school win Energy Star Certification, and the Governor's Award for Energy Conservation. We have met with the School Board and numerous developers with the hope of installing a Solar Farm. We hope to be bidding that process in the near future.  We have worked with legislators, VPIRG, and area Grocery Store managers to purchase and distribute 1200 free re-useable grocery bags, T Shirts advertising the program and flyers explaining the rationale. POW has worked closely with us, and funded this endeavor.. Team USA also organized the largest Veteran's Day celebration in the history of VT. We have begun to meet with Veteran groups to make this next year's even better!

Walk/Bike to School Day Results

25 Adults and 193 students walked and biked into school on Wednesday June 3rd.  The student turnout was identical to last week.  It has been a good year for our walking school buses and all the bikers who have joined in.  We should celebrate the fact that at least 1/4 of our students regularly took part in this program.
