City School Students Represent Vermont in National Tournament
Congratulations to Hailey Savage, Chloe Rouleau, and Abby Casey along with the rest of their St. Albans Saints U14 team for representing Vermont in the USA Hockey Tier II National Tournament being held in Burlington. They lost their first game to New Jersey, 3-2 in a shootout.  They will play Friday vs Colorado and Potsdam, NY on Saturday.  
On Thursday evening the team took part in an opening ceremony with the 32 other teams.  They concluded the night by honoring Team USA women's team which is playing in the World Championship.

Monday, April 4th
Temple Grandin is a world-renowned autism spokes person and an American professor of animal science at Colorado State University.

In the following 2 minute and 50 second video about Temple Grandin’s life, the character playing Temple Grandin talks about what is it like to have autism and describes the need for sensory input to help calm and sooth their minds and bodies. Link to Video

Discovery Conducted Filtration Science on Thursday 3-31-2016

Discovery students created water filters in understanding percolation as it relates to groundwater and runoff.

Northwest Medical Center CEO and staff spoke to Team USA

Team USA hosted Northwest Medical Center CEO, Jill Berry Bowen and some of the staff.  They shared their careers and experience with the class.

HARVEST OF THE MONTH









Snacks today are bananas

Bananas and banana peels make great fertilizer (you can compost them, bury them whole, or cut them in small pieces and mix them with garden soil) because of their phosphorous and potassium content. Roses especially like them.
