All beginning clarinets have a lesson today at 11 which includes Brianna, Gennie, Hope, Cody, caitlin, Bella and DeAnna. Beginning trumpets have their regular lesson today.

Candidate Forum
Team USA will host a Vermont State legislature candidate forum next Wednesday, Oct. 26 at 5:30. The forum is open to the community. All are welcome to hear those running for state discuss issues, as moderated by students. Corey Parent, Mike McCarthy, Carolyn Branagan, Denise Smith, Sara Kittell, and Claude Bouchard, among others are expected to attend.
Results for Walking Wednesday 10-19-2016
151 people walked or biked to school on Wednesday (15 adults & 136 students). Two teams had excellent participation rates. Travelers and Incredibles each had 20 students walk in on Wednesday. Very impressive!!!! Way to go getting some exercise and reducing fossil fuel use.

Triumph Learned More about Vermont Government
VT Senate candidate (and parent of several SACS students), Denise Smith, answered students "very sophisticated" questions about for the better part of an hour on Tuesday morning 10-18-2016. Aside from learning what Mrs. Smith would like to do if elected, the students learned about the structure of our State's governing system, some of the most pressing issues facing this county, and various Champlain Valley water challenges. Everyone felt engaged and interested in what was being asked and said.

Students Get to Vote
Team USA is hosting a mock vote on Tuesday, November 8th for grades 4-8. It will be held in the cafeteria at the end of the students’ lunches, As they go through the line and go into the cafeteria they will get a ticket, and in order to vote they will need to give us their tickets.
One K-3 Teacher from each community please contact Noah Beauregard or Izaiah Cabrera at nrbeauregard@fcsuvt.org incabrera@fcsuvt.org so we can set up a time that works for you to go to your classes so your kids can vote too.
