For Snacks today we have Plums
Plums and prunes help increase the absorption of iron into the body, which may be due to the fact that they are a good source of vitamin C.

Plums have a low glycemic index, so eating plums can help you control your blood sugar and reduce the risk of type 2 diabetes according to the Dietitians of Canada.

Harvest of the Month: Kale | October
Here is Vermont, we've been singing kale's praises before it was cool and are now celebrating it as our current Harvest of the Month. This hardy green is frost-resistant and holds up well in a garden. Incorporate into a salad, saute with your favorite seasonings, or bake into crunchy chips to enjoy the flavors of the season.
