PICTURES AND REPORTS

Compost Shed
For years we have been planning for some kind of a compost shed to be placed on school property.  On Monday April 3rd the one selected finally arrived.  It had to be delivered before the ground thawed or we would have had a real mess created when driving it through our orchard below the bus circle.

The shed will house dry materials for composting our food snack waste.  There will be barrels of wood chips, sawdust, leaves and newspapers, all to be mixed in with wet fruit and vegetable material in outdoor composting bins. Team Renaissance will be educating the school about composting in the upcoming months and years.

The stewardship committee students, shown standing inside the shed, helped facilitate the purchase of this shed.
