PICTURES AND REPORTS
4TH GRADE TEAM TRIUMPH MADE SALSA
Mrs. Smith, our Farm to School Coordinator, harvested fresh produce from the school garden to use in a batch of salsa made in Mrs. Lamb's classroom. Fourth Graders practiced good hand washing skills and then experienced knife handling training while slicing up tomatoes, green peppers, onions, cucumbers and limes. They added a tiny Jalapeno pepper, a little salt and a small amount of vinegar to create perfection. Tasting followed with most loving the result. LINK TO 50 PICTURES
SOME RENAISSANCE AND USA STUDENTS HARVESTED SWEET POTATOES
The cafeteria asked to purchase sweet potatoes from our garden. These students harvested these massive sweet potatoes that grew over the summer. We will soon be eating them in the cafeteria.
