EVENTS OR NOTICES

8TH GRADERS

By Wednesday the 21st we would like for three things to be handed to the Yearbook Committee.

1. We would like baby pictures emailed to Mr. Craib, Yuki, or Pilot. If not emailed please bring them to Mr. Craib and we will digitize the photos.

2. Superlatives will be handed out on paper and those need to be turned into Renee or Aylah.

3. Lastly we need your yearbook surveys submitted.

SACS 4-6 Dance

Team Triumph is hosting a Wild Western dance on February 16, 2018 from 6:00-8:00 pm.  The cost is $3.00. The dance is going to have a lot of Western style activities like “The Bandit Dance Off”. You can also dress up in western clothing and if you do, your name goes into a raffle. We will be drawing names for awesome prizes.  If you give the DJ 50 cents, you can give a shout out to a friend.  There will be drinks, snacks and sweets for sale as well. Students will be expected to follow all dance expectations. Students will need to be dropped off at the gym doors entrance and picked up at the front entrance of the school. Please make sure that you are on time to pick up your child.

Does art inspire you? Clouds that look like faces? Sugar? Discovering new galaxies? Artists have looked to the world around them for centuries to gain inspiration. This year’s 10th anniversary of Doodle 4 Google asks students to do the same. The winner’s artwork will be made into an interactive doodle on Google.com as well as loads of scholarships and prizes.

Use your imagination to create a Google Doodle based on what inspires you.

Please see Ms. Tagliamonte
for official entry forms.
All completed entries must be returned to
Ms. Tagliamonte Art Room A216 by
Friday, February 16
You must have a parent/guardian sign and complete your entry form for permission to participate in this contest. Google does not return your contest entry.

TEAM USA ECYBERMISSION
Team USA students completing an ecybermission project have engineered a bracelet whose purpose is to help refugees during stressful, or scary times.  Today they visited three refugee-owned businesses, as well as the Association of Africans Living in Vermont in order gain important feedback on their bracelet design. Nice job Emily, Hailey, CJ and Issac!

STUDYING IN THE HALLWAYS

THE NORTHWEST TECH CENTER VISIT
8th Graders had a chance to learn about the tech center located at BFA. Once they reach high school a host of learning opportunities exist for our students, among them: Culinary Arts, Automotive Technology, Building Trades, Cosmetology and more. Students watched a video explaining their options and then BFA students and staff were present to answer our student's questions.  Thursday 2-15-2018
