SNACKS
Remember that the order of snack availability may be different than what is expected depending on how ripe the fruit or vegetables are when they arrive. This is a very hard time of the year for our cafeteria staff to find large quantities of ripe fresh fruits and vegetables.
Tues - carrots w/ranch
Wed - pears
Thurs - Bananas
Fri - golden delicious apples

Pear trees develop white or pink flowers. Even though pear flowers contain both types of reproductive organs (stamens and pistil), they cannot perform self-pollination. Insects are the main pollinators of pear flowers.

Students who need to take the late bus must register for it before 12:00 noon - there is no late bus on Fridays.

BAND

All Beginning cello's in 4th and 5th grade have lessons this afternoon.

Sr. Band is rehearsing at 2 today.

Make up violin lesson for Chloe Weinstein is at 1 pm today, and an extra lesson for Kayla Abair is at 1:30 this afternoon.

Full Orchestra is rehearsing tomorrow at 2.



EVENTS OR NOTICES







8TH GRADERS
By Wednesday the 21st we would like for three things to be handed to the Yearbook
Committee.

1. We would like baby pictures emailed to Mr. Craib, Yuki, or Pilot. If not emailed
please bring them to Mr. Craib and we will digitize the photos.
2. Superlatives will be handed out on paper and those need to be turned into Renee
or Aylah.
3. Lastly, we need your yearbook surveys submitted.






Technology and Engineering:
a Discovery Culminating Event
Please join us for our Discovery Science Fair,
featuring Ecybermission and Engineering with a focus on
helping those faced with natural disasters.


Friday, February 23, 2018
Beginning at 9:00AM
in the Discovery Classrooms

Schedule:
6th Graders will give a quick presentation of their Ecybermission
projects starting at 9:00AM.

After the 6th grade groups have presented, the audience will have
the opportunity to walk through the 4th and 5th grade Engineering
Projects.

We look forward to seeing you at 9:00 on February 23rd!






INCREDIBLES will be hosting a culminating event on 2/23/2018 Friday morning from 7:30-8:30 a.m.  Friends and families are invited to explore space by viewing prototypes of improvements on current vehicles and devises to learn more about space, with the 4th and 5th graders.  6th graders will be showcasing their projects for ecybermission/ science projects.

OPEN DOORS HIP HOP

DREAMERS
Mrs. Williams' students celebrated the milestone of 100 days into the school year on Monday 2-19-2018.







EMPTY BOWLS PROJECT
Students at St. Albans City School have been making ceramic bowls in their art classes. The finished products will be used as individual serving pieces for a fund-raising meal of soup and bread. Contributing guests get to keep the empty bowl. 2-19-2018.  Facilitated by Ms. Tagliamonte.

P.E. teacher, Ms. Andrews, was observed being hauled around by a student pedi-cab driver on Monday 2-19-2018.
