EVENTS OR NOTICES
Team Triumph needs your empty plastic bottles (2 liter, water bottles, soda bottles, etc.) for a science project that we will be engaged in after the break. Mrs. Levine & Mrs. Morrissey would love it if you could bring them in for us at any point between now and the end of March. We will gladly be around to collect them if that works best for you, or you can deliver them at your convenience. Thank you for your support! |
PICTURES AND REPORTS
IMAGINATION Ms. Dionne's 3rd graders have been studying climate and weather. After learning about the different tools that are used to measure weather patterns, they created their own. In small groups, students created an anemometer that measures the speed of the wind, a weather vane which shows the direction in which the wind is blowing, a thermometer to measure temperature, a rain gauge to measure the amount of rain that has fallen, and a barometer to measure air pressure. LINK TO 20 PICTURES CITY SCHOOL GERM BUSTING TEAM Over the winter break, our team of germ busters got to work cleaning lockers, sinks, door knobs and any other surface that might be harboring the germs that have been making our students and staff sick. A big thank you to the cleaning team! STAFF OPEN DOORS EXPERIENCE St. Albans City School held an after-school open-doors-like experience for staff on Friday afternoon 2-23-2018. Various staff members guided fellow teachers and staff through baking, jewelry making, painting, makerspace activities, knitting and an Omnikin competition. It was a rare chance to learn and socialize with peers. LINK TO 30 PICTURES
