SNACKS FOR TUESDAY
Once harvested, pineapples don’t continue to ripen.
That means that every single pineapple in the grocery store is as ripe as it will ever be so don’t buy one and save it for a week, thinking it will ripen.

A fully ripe pineapple is quite perishable.
You should eat it within two days if it’s stored at room temperature and within about a week if it’s refrigerated.  Reference
LUNCH

RECESS WEATHER

Snow likely, especially in the second half of the day.

The snow tubes will NOT be out until we have a little more snow on the ground. By the end of Monday rocks and bare patches were evident - not good for the tubes.  That may change by midday.

These providers work with our school to create plans and procedures that keep your children safe. Team Triumph needs your empty plastic bottles (2 liter, water bottles, soda bottles, etc.) for a science project that we will be engaged in after the break. Mrs. Levine & Mrs. Morrissey would love it if you could bring them in for us at any point between now and the end of March. We will gladly be around to collect them if that works best for you, or you can deliver them at your convenience. Thank you for your support!

PICTURES AND REPORTS

DISCOVERY
6th-grade Discovery students paired up with 4th graders to calculate weight using the gravity factor on each planet. With a little help from Newton's gravitation law, they discovered that we would all weigh substantially more on Jupiter. If you are looking to slim down, how about a trip to Venus? This planet has a 0.91 gravity factor.

NAVIGATORS
Ms. Lawyer's and Ms. Adams' classrooms hosted the visit of three goat kids on Friday 3-9-2018. Everyone who wanted to got a chance to pet the goat kids and many got a chance to bottle feed them. The goat kids checked out all the corners of the classrooms and the kindergarten hallway.  LINK TO 44 PICTURES

HOPE
Four students worked with Mr. Hoben, Mr. Deslauriers and Ms. Stanhope in our Maple Grove this Monday installing sap collecting buckets on most of the maple trees. Approximately 60 holes were drilled, special plastic taps pounded in those holes and then buckets were attached to the taps. Over the coming weeks, HOPE students will gather the sap each day to be boiled down in the new sugar house. About five years ago we dreamed of using the school's woods in this way and now that vision is actually happening. Thank you HOPE students!  LINK TO 26 PICTURES
