Team USA Students Bridge Project - Team USA students have been working the past few weeks on creating corporations, designing and then building bridges.  All progress was recorded on their wikiproject sites.  Bridge Project Site.  Corporations used Team USA money they earned throughout the year in our financial system to purchase permits, insurance, and supplies.  Students could enter their bridge into three contests - Creativity, Realistic, and Strength.  Final judging and testing took place on June 13.  The video highlights the strongest bridges.  Team USA Bridge Project Video.  Congratulations to our winning teams.

WALKING/BIKING WEDNESDAY LEADERS
As the end of the school year approaches, our community can give thanks to the many people who volunteered (on their own time) to serve as walking school bus leaders and facilitators. These adults came out early each Wednesday in all kinds of weather to provide students with a supervised way to get to school using their own power. Their help, and the help of many other adults before them have made walking and biking to St. Albans City School a viable option. A little over a decade ago students were not encouraged to walk and bike to school. We now believe that walking and biking makes students physically and socially healthier. Exercise before school also tends to ready students for a day of learning.

THANK YOU St. Albans City School families for letting your children walk, bike and scooter to school. That trust that they can participate happily and safely is a gift to your children and to us.

Please let Mr. Craib know if more leaders should be recognized than have been listed below.
