INCOMING PRE-K AND KINDERGARTEN STUDENTS
Each classroom teacher in Grades Pre-K, Kindergarten and 1st grade have their own "Transition Book". The books are full of pictures and tell the students what to expect next year.

 TUESDAY'S GOODBYES FOR THE SUMMER     STEP UP DAY GATHERINGS All the learning communities hosted students moving up grades from younger learning communities. Teachers organized get-to-know each other activities. This helped the teachers familiarize themselves with their new pupils and assist the students in meeting their peers from groups they rarely interacted with during the past school year. Students had in-classroom breakfasts. 6-20-2018.

WEDNESDAY's ANNOUNCEMENTS TRIUMPH POOL PARTY As winners of the Walking Wednesday participation contest, team Triumph won an hour of pool party time at the St. Albans recreation department pool. Although temperatures were only in the high 60s, there was sun and the students had a good time. When asked about the experience, they said "It was fun". 6-19-2018. LINK TO 25 PICTURES    VOYAGERS The Voyagers also had a pool party due to the fact that they walked zillions of laps around the school's walking path. It too was a blast. DREAMERS Students from Ms. Gleason's, Ms. Walsh's, Mr. Barker's and Ms. Williams' classrooms assembled in the cafeteria to sing to their parents and members of the school. The kids did a great job and the LINK TO 285 PICTURES show it. Families, you should be able to find a number of pictures of your child.    VOYAGERS Team Voyagers visited Kill Kare state park on Monday, 6-18-2018. The weather was overcast, windy and warm. Everyone still managed to have a good time. Ms. Mitchell kindly shared photos. LINK TO 40 PICTURES    RENAISSANCE EGG DROP On Tuesday morning Mr. Pelkey dropped all the carefully packaged eggs (created the previous day) off the edge of the building closest to the softball field. About half the eggs survived the 2-story drop, much to the jubilation of the students who had designed the packaging. It was a short and fun event to observe. LINK TO 31 PICTURES    PRE-K (GLEASON) END OF YEAR CELEBRATION There was a three-song concert followed by a short award ceremony.
