PICTURES AND REPORTS
EXPLORERS SUMMER SCHOOL These pictures were taken in Ms. Lavoie's classroom as students wrote down brain states words and cut out pictures of people in different brain states from magazines. BUILDING GARDEN BEDS About four years ago every learning community used the garden beds around our school building for vegetables and fruit growing. That changed when we had to shift our gardening away from those beds while they were rebuilt with new concrete. We gave up on moving back to the beds when we realized that the soil in those beds had been changed out for much poorer content. Weeds grew up in those beds until we could decide what to do. In the past few weeks, kid and staff removed the weeds from those beds, added nutrient rich soil, and transplanted hasta plants from elsewhere on school property to those sites. We are happy with the new look. Thank you to everyone who made the change this summer possible. 7th & 8th GRADERS Mr. Allen and Mr. Clark tackled math, reading and writing tasks with these students.
