    PICTURES AND REPORTS

    WALKING WEDNESDAY RESULTS
183 students and 19 adults (202 total) walked, biked and scootered into school on Wednesday morning 10-10-2018. The weather turned out to be better than expected and students felt comfortable walking/biking to school instead of taking the bus or the family vehicle. There are some notable statistics from the walk. Team USA has a huge participation rate with 28 total.  That number has never been reached before with the exception of our once-a-year Stewardship days.  Very impressive participation USA!  Also, we had 11 kindergarteners walk in and stay with kindergarten teacher, Ms. Walsh, until the rest of the kindergarteners arrived. That is a big number for that age group. Every year more and more of our youngest students are willing to walk in.

    DISTRICT SPELLING BEE AT SATEC

A team of six students competed against a similar sized team from St. Albans Town Educational Center. Please congratulate our team of spelling winners when you see them in the hallways. The words they had to spell were tough. They will compete in the regional competition on a weekend at the end of the month. Ms. VanGuilder is supervising the spelling bee practice and competitions.

    FAIRFAX RELAYS - COSTUME RACE
Each year BFA Fairfax puts on a huge race for middle schoolers and high schoolers.  Many get dressed up in Halloween costumes for the occasion. In the middle school race, you can win for place for the top three boys and top three girls.  Or, you can win for best costume.  Tara Ditch came in 2nd for girls and Landon won a plate of cookies for his great Forest Gump costume.  LINK TO 48 PICTURES . No list of places/times/scores have been published yet for this meet.
