IDEAS FOR WHAT TO DO OVER BREAK DANCE AND CHORUS SHOWCASES At the end of each Unified Arts Trimester, students in dance, chorus, and sometimes band perform for families. Here are pictures from the dance portion of the event held on Thursday evening 2021-2019. LINK TO 25 PICTURES These were kindly shared by Mr. Kelly and were taken in low-light conditions. NAEP TESTING OF 4TH GRADERS As planned, the 4th graders took turns visiting the library for their on-line assessments. Hallways nearby were quiet as the students concentrated on their work. 2-22-2019 DISCOVERY FUN FRIDAY ACTIVITY On Friday Fun (Discovery Time as we call it) Discovery classrooms have been doing an on-going Minute-to-Win-It style tournament, and this week's activity was definitely fun 2-22-2019. The teams tried to build a specific 10-story tower out of index cards in under 1 minute. Check the pictures out. LINK TO 22 PICTURES provided by Discovery. TARRANT INSTITUTE VISIT Representatives from the Tarrant Institute at UVM visited our school today on Thursday 2-22-2019. Their purpose was to take video of the makerspace being used to create a virtual makerspace tour for their site. Makerspace staff and students were interviewed to hear their thoughts on the value of the makerspace at our school. It is hoped that what we do with our makerspace can inspire other Vermont schools to do something similar. Thank you to all the students who shared their experiences with the visitors. |
