SCHOOL LUNCH HEROES
We celebrated School Lunch Hero Day on May 1st. We wanted our heroes to stand out so they wore bright yellow t-shirts to mark this day. St. Albans City School and the Abbey Group thank them for the great job they do preparing and serving the thousands of meals to the students and staff they hold dear. Our food service staff provide healthy food, adhere to strict nutrition standards, help students navigate food allergies, and offer service with a smile. School Lunch Hero Day celebrates what these food professionals do for us every school day
School Lunch Hero Day, celebrated annually since 2013, was designated by The School Nutrition Association and Jarrett Krosoczka, author of the “Lunch Lady” graphic novel series. This day provides an opportunity for parents, students, school staff and communities to thank those who provide healthy meals to 30 million of America’s students each school day.
