Renaissance and Operation Happiness

After weeks of collecting donated food from the whole school family, Team Renaissance went to work sorting, transporting and delivering it to where it needed to go.  Operation Happiness has been a labor of love for Renaissance and our school for several years now.  Each year this kind of community service enriches our student's lives. Renaissance and everyone that donated food this year deserve our thanks.

Band

Ms. Gelfon, Ms. Cameron Musente and Mr. Mehaffey are having a concert tonight in the big gym at 7pm featuring chorus performances and 4th grade Discovery guitar. Everyone is invited.

Jr. Band lessons for flute, clarinet, sax, trumpet and trombone are today. Please be on time.

Jr. Band is rehearsing tomorrow at 12:15.

Shyenne has a lesson this morning, and beginning violin and cello this afternoon. 7th and 8th violin are having lesson tomorrow.

Lockdown Drill 

Last week, we had a lockdown drill. Students and staff knew just what to do and were in and out of the drill in less than five minutes. Nice work - thanks for your help in making these drills go safely and smoothly.

Open Doors

The following Open Doors classes meet today Monday, December 8th

This is a reminder that Leadership at BFA has ended.

Important announcement for all Open Doors classes beginning this week:  There are too many students requesting to use the bathroom when they arrive at the cafeteria for Open Doors.  With limited staff it is difficult for Open Doors to supervise bathroom trips.  Open Doors is asking that students use the bathroom before coming to the cafeteria.  Students need to remain in the cafeteria once they arrive until their Open Doors classes begin.

Box Tops Collection Update

The City School Community continues to impress and amaze!  We set a goal to collect 3,000 Box Tops by 12/18/14  and we've surpassed our goal!  Not yet including what was collected this week or Bonus Box Tops certificates, we have 3,425 Box Tops!

So... we'd like to challenge you by raising the bar.  Our 2nd goal is 4,500 Box Tops by 12/18!  Keep Clipping & Collecting.

(We're always still collecting Labels for Education with bar codes attached, Tyson A+, and Prang Power coupons, too!)
