Oranges:
About 20 percent of the total crop of oranges is sold as whole fruit; the remainder is used in preparing orange juice, extracts, and preserves.

An orange tree can grow to reach 30 feet and live for over a hundred years.

Because Navel Oranges are seedless, they can’t reproduce through pollination and require “budding” or grafting to create new trees.
Wednesday - Oranges
Thursday - Pears
Friday - Bananas
LUNCH

EXPECTED RECESS WEATHER

It is cold outside again with no change in the icy conditions. If you choose to go out, dress warmly and stay away from the ice.  Thank you.

PICTURES AND REPORTS

TRAVELERS 2ND GRADE
The 2nd graders in Travelers are pairing up with a group of 2nd graders in Canton Massachusetts at the Dean S. Luce Elementary School for a pen-pal project. Our 2nd graders wanted to share a group picture with their new pen pals.  See Below.

MAKERSPACE
Two students were recorded working in or nearby the Makerspace on Tuesday morning. One was painting a unicorn she had printed out on one of the school's 3-D printers. The other was programming two robots for movement patterns out in in the library. Teachers have been signing up students for experiences in the maker space with Ms. Borst and Ms. Bertucci.
