EVENTS AND NOTICES
SUNFLOWERS PLANTED
Five USA students have been cleaning weeds out of the plant beds at the front of our school. On Thursday they planted sunflowers in those beds. They asked that we please don't play in or walk on the beds. Thank you.
ART SHOW FOR
FRANKLIN COUNTY SCHOOLS
The Franklin County Art Show will be held at the Collins Perley Complex from Tuesday, May 14-Sunday, May 19. Come see student artwork from many schools in Franklin County including St. Albans City School! Artwork will be on display throughout the week and are available for viewing during Collins Perley Complex hours. Please bring your families and come to support the arts!
MOVE UP DAY
Parents and Families of 8th Graders
On Friday, May 24th, 2019, your eighth grader will be taking a bus to BFA for Move Up Day. This is an annual event to introduce eighth graders to the expectations associated with their upcoming ninth grade year. This is always an exciting day. BFA staff and students will be on hand to guide the eighth-grade students through the orientation program. Additionally, it is an opportunity to meet fellow eighth graders from the other sending schools.
Lunch will be provided by BFA. Your eighth-grader will be dismissed from BFA at 2:00 P.M. and will be walking home from there. If you choose to do so, you may pick your child up at BFA at that time. If you have any questions at all, please feel free to contact your eighth-grade learning community or contact school counselor, Allison Goldsmith, at agoldsmith@maplerun.org or 527-0565 ext. 3874. |

DAIRY IN THE CLASSROOM
In Springtime the Dairy-in-the-Classroom program comes to St. Albans City School. The goal is to connect our kindergarten students with their local farming heritage and know-how, with an emphasis on dairy farming. Kids get a chance to learn all about cows and the milk they produce. These pictures came from Mrs. Walsh's classroom where they made regular butter and cinnamon butter and then got to taste the results of their work 5-17-2019. LINK TO 25 PICTURES
