Please send or give your baby pictures to
Bella Stott or Amber Poquette.

If you bring your baby pictures into school, we will scan them and 
return them to you on the same day



THE ST. ALBANS CITY SCHOOL 50TH CELEBRATION CONTINUES INTO 2020
Over the next several weeks, the daily announcements will include pictures from 1970 and a similar picture that was taken 50 years later in 2020. These pictures are also posted on the wall outside the big gym. Can you see anything that is the same 50 years later?

MOVING IN - A shipment of chairs being unloaded and piled in a classroom. In front of the truck is the retaining wall for the patio, as well as the planter and bench which are part of the exterior trim being currently applied to the new school. (1970)

EXCITEMENT IN THE MAKERSPACE
At midday, on Thursday a small piece of cardboard got wedged in the laser cutter and caught on fire. The makerspace staff immediately used a fire extinguisher to put it out. No one was hurt, the fire alarm did not go off and an evacuation was not needed. The makerspace staff apologizes for the burnt smell that was noticeable in the library and other nearby rooms.

PARENT COMMUNITY COUNCIL MEETING
January 29th from 6:00-7:30 we are hosting the first Parent Comunity Council Meeting of the year. The Agenda will include the Title I Meeting,  How we will spend Title I Parent Involvement Money, and the new book used this year "Raider Learns to Own It, Fix It and Move On".  We will also have time for questions. If there are other topics people would like to see, Contact Jamie Pinkham, Amanda Smullen or Joan Cavallo.






SNOW TUBING
During a break from classwork, the Renaissance teachers took a brief opportunity to enjoy the fresh snow with the school snow tubes. Shortly thereafter the Discovery team showed up to take over the sleds. LINK TO 24 PICTURES
