Remote learning means that students and families are working with school technology at home more than ever this year.  With this new way of learning comes questions, and the SACs tech team wants to help!

October 29th. 6:30 - Mr. Ashton and Mrs. Levine will be holding a Zoom session to give an overview of how to read and understand the new I-Ready and Lexia reports that will explain your child's' ability levels in mathematics and literacy. Nov 12th. Digital Safety Tips and Tricks:

Increased access to technology and the internet provides amazing opportunities for students to learn and connect, and it also requires the school and families to work together to keep students' safe.  In this practical session led by teachers (who are also parents!) we will share some great digital safety resources and strategies.




OPEN DOORS IS BACK!

 

Session One: November 2nd-24th, Monday or Thursday - 2:30-4:00 pm

Guidelines:
  -No bussing
  -Online Registration only
  -No more than 10 students per group
  -Snacks will be provided and delivered to Open Doors space between 2:30 and 3:00 pm
  -Students may only attend one day, on a day they are in school (Blue and Green groups)


All Programs will be offered once a week to blue group members on Monday afternoons and once a week to green group members on Thursday afternoons.

Art & Crafts, 1st-3rd Grade, location: Cafeteria: Give your child a chance to embrace their artistic side. Whether it's learning a new handcraft or getting to use paints or make cards, your creative kid will love exploring the many ways to express themselves!

Sewing, 4th-6th Grade, Location: Library: The main objective of this course is learning to stitch fabric together with thread. Students learn to sew by hand and machine. They also study the basic principles of hemming, sewing, and adhering add-ons to fabrics.

Healthy & Creative Cooking, 6th-8th Grade, Location: Kitchen: This program gears towards learning kitchen techniques with a combination of cooking healthier! This program will allow our students to have fun cooking but also making sure the ingredients are giving their bodies proper nutrients to thrive and grow!

Group Games, 1st-8th Grade (split instructors), location: Small Gym: Explore different types of lifetime fitness for students! This program will create routines such as eating with peers, teamwork, lifetime fitness, play-based activities, socialization, and friendship.

Acceptance letters will be emailed to the email address on file, the week prior.

Registration will close on Wednesday, October 28th:
