FISHING AND CANOEING CAMP - CIOFFI AND ROULEAU

The fishing and canoeing group had a nice time at Fairfield Pond on Thursday, 8-5-2021.  The conditions were great.  We saw some fish but no luck getting them to bite!  Maybe next time. Link to 5 Pictures.

GEOCACHING CAMP - WIGHT, KELLY, MARRIN

On Thursday morning, the campers were introduced to the use of GPS units. Ms. Wight was very impressed by how quickly they understood the technology. A bus took the campers over to Collins Perley and the campers went to work finding locations around the property. They continued to find hidden locations accurately later in the morning when they walked around the school property. Link to 25 Pictures. 8-5-2021

Ms. Wight - "We were using Garmin GPS devices with longitude and latitude coordinates.  I set out a course and marked waypoints that we entered into each Garmin.  Students used the Garmin to find 12 different geocaches.  Each geocache had a different pony bead that the campers added to a pipe cleaner they carried as they went along."

SOCCER CAMP #2 - ALBRECHT & TAYLOR

Just before the end of the first week of soccer camp, the athletes held a scrimmage. It was an opportunity to use their newly sharpened playing skills. Both sides did a nice job on offense and defence. Link to 33 Pictures. 8-5-2021

CREATIVE COOKING READ ALOUD - MAILLET &  QUINN

The cooking group is large and has been split into three sections. They rotate among three rooms, cooking, doing craft work or learning about food and having outside time. The pictures here came from a group working with Ms. Maillet and Ms. Quinn. They were learning about Carrot Cake through a truly fun book read by Wanda Sykes The Mystery of the Missing Carrot Cake (Link to youtube site of the reading). Her reading skills are excellent and they were complemented by animated images based on those in the book. Afterward, the campers had time to play outside on a beautiful day. Link to 10 Pictures.  8-5-2021

UNDER THE SEA CAMP - DUPONT, LAWYER

Each camper made a sea snack they got to try. Check these 21 pictures out. 8-5-2021

JEWELRY CAMP - DEDIOS, LAWLOR, STEVENS, BOUCHARD

This group worked on friendship bracelets on Thursday morning, 8-5-2021. They braided difference colored strings together and then formed them into bracelets. Link to 8 Pictures.

COTTAGE CAMP - CARSWELL & FARMING

These campers were photographed shortly after breakfast while they were playing in their classroom space.  Link to 8 Pictures.
