PICTURES

PICTURE DAY ONE

On Tuesday, our school began the two-day process of trying to photograph all staff and students. This is important for families to have pictures to document a stage in their students’ lives. The photos are also needed to accurately identify children and adults in our record system. For students especially, huge changes in growth and appearance can occur in a year and for more than a year now our picture-taking ability has been very incomplete thanks to covid. Many of our staff and students missed the picture days offered in 2020. Thank you, everyone, for taking the time and trouble this year to be photographed.

IMAGINATION 2ND GRADE PE - WIGHT

Ms. Wight had all sorts of games students could play with a large parachute. In the linked photos below, students ran around in gleeful circles and they also played a fun game of cat and mouse. In cat and mouse, one student (the mouse) crawls around under the parachute trying not to be caught. Another one, the "cat", crawls on top of the parachute and tries to locate and tag the "mouse" beneath the parachute. 9-28-2021.

DREAMERS PLAYGROUND TIME - DEDELL

Ms. DeDell’s students needed some outside and movement time in the small playground after their snack. Here are 24 Pictures from that Tuesday, September 28th outdoor session.

YOUTH RISK BEHAVIOR SURVEY (YRBS) Grades 6-8

Dear Caregivers:

Our school is taking part in the 2021 Youth Risk Behavior Survey (YRBS). This was developed in 1991 by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and is sponsored by the Vermont Department of Health and Agency of Education. The YRBS gathers information about health risk behaviors of 6th through 12th-grade students. Schools, communities, and state agencies will use the results of the survey to evaluate programs, plan new programs, and secure future funding. We will administer the survey to our 6th, 7th, and 8th-grade students on October 13, 2021, and October 14, 2021. If you would like to learn more about the survey or see a copy it is available to view here. If you do not want your child to participate in the survey, please complete the opt-out form and return it to Kristen Hersey in the School Counselor’s Office. Copies of the opt-out form were mailed home and are also available to download HERE. Forms must be returned by October 12, 2021.
