6TH GRADE BIKE TRIP

As the morning broke on Friday, June 10th, the weather looked like it might be beautiful for the annual 6th Grade bike trip. Students and teachers piled on their bikes and lit out for the Abbey Restaurant 12 miles away on the rail trail. The temperatures were good but the one big rain cloud in the area found the group with about four miles to go. The riders got soaked but maintained their enthusiasm - mud stripes up their backs. The plan was to play field games in a mowed area just beyond the Abbey. Instead, the whole crew sheltered under the Abbey entryway overhangs. Lunch was ravenously consumed. Then as the sun came out again, some stayed and played while waiting for a bus ride home. Several dozen remounted their bikes and cruised the 12 miles back to school just as school dismissal was taking place. It was a good and challenging day that all will remember in the years to come. 8TH GRADE YEARBOOK

On 8th-grade graduation morning, our departing students gathered on the patio outside the cafeteria. There Ms. Cavallo handed out the 8th grade school yearbook. The book contains pictures from their years at our school, their senior year portraits, baby pictures, hopes for the future, sports team pictures, teacher pictures, unified arts pictures and more. At the gathering pens were available so that they could sign each other’s books. Link to 18 Pictures of them signing the yearbooks. Link to this year's Yeabook.

VIDEOS OF 8TH GRADERS ON TEAM USA - CIOFFI

Team USA 7th graders sent off their 8th grader peers with a short celebration on Wednesday, 6/8.  It included awards from Unified Art teachers and Transferable Skill awards from Team USA teachers.  The 7th graders presented each 8th grader with a card and certificate during the game show themed event.

NEW FUTURE STUDENT

On Tuesday evening, 6-7-2022, one of our teachers, Ms. Hailee Rheaume, welcomed Reese Nelson Rheaume into her family. Here is a picture of the newborn and one very proud big sister!!!

Tuesday, June 14th, 10:30am

Mt. Calvary Cemetery

Team USA in conjunction with the VFW and American Legion will be co-hosting a flag retirement ceremony.  We have numerous boxes of old flags that have been prepared by students for a proper retirement.  This is a solemn and dignified event.  Ceremonies to retire a flag can differ from each other.  The short ceremony will include a few words shared by the veterans, pledge of allegiance, taps, and an honor guard with a three rifle volley.  The rifles will be fired as a part of the ceremony.  There will be a fire on site to dispose of the flags.  The ashes will be buried the following day.

Flags needing to be retired can be dropped off at Team USA.
