VARIETY CAMP

This group of young campers trekked on over to Houghten Park to enjoy that park's playground and its’ surrounding fields. They had a great time on their adventure. Link to 29 Pictures

These pictures were taken shortly after they arrived back at school. The campers were hot, hungry and thirsty. Ms. Fitzgerald took votes on what video to watch while eating snacks. Link to 7 Pictures.

CHEER CAMP - PERFORMANCE FOR FAMILIES

The campers showed off their well choreographed routine and skills at 11:00 AM on Thursday, July 28th. Link to 1-minute video. There was a lot of happiness and pride felt by the participants and audience for the campers effort and their impressive skill set.

COMMUNITY SERVICE CAMP

As previously reported, the community service camp collected pet donations on Wednesday, July 27th for the humane society and St. Albans Animal Shelter. The did so in the name of Jacob Harton, a 15-year old St. Albans resident, who passed away on July 11th, 2022. His parents asked that memorial donations in memory of Jacob be made to the Franklin County Animal Rescue, 30 Sunset Meadow, Saint Albans, VT 05478.

Extract from Jacob’s Obituary. Link to full obituary here

“He loved his pets so. His rescue cat Shadow came when Jake was only seven and then he rescued his dog Lucy when he was 11. He most often reminisced of the cat who was here when he came home from the hospital and passed soon after, Sam. He remembered Sam so fondly though only through pictures.”

COOKING CAMP - BAKE SALE  7-28-2022

Once again the cooking camp’s bake sale proved hugely popular. All kinds of amazing baked products were available for purchase and consumption (mostly with pretend money).  Family members attended between 10:00 and 11:00 AM and then camp participants dropped by for treats in the time remaining until camp dismissal. Link to 16 Pictures

Following in the community service camp’s footprints, the cooking campers collected cash donations to send to the Franklin County Humane Society animal shelter, also in memory of Jacob Harton. A paper bag with $100 dollars was gathered at the cash table by the end of the morning.

DELIVERY OF PET SUPPLIES

Early Thursday morning (7-27-2022) the community service group walked over to the Franklin County Humane Society animal shelter. Once there, they unloaded and carried in all the donated pet supplies that they had gathered the previous day. One of the shelter volunteers then toured the campers around the facility. The shelter contained a huge range of cats and just a few dogs. There were many kittens, some adult cats and one very mature 17 year old cat. It was humbling seeing how kindly the animals are being treated at the shelter.  Everyone present felt the urge to adopt an animal.  Link to 18 Pictures.

SOCCER CAMP FINAL GAME

The soccer campers took on a team of basketball and cheer camp athletes. The competition was balanced and fun to watch. 7-28-2022. Link to 42 Pictures.

BOARD GAMES CAMP

This group enjoyed a field trip to the “Board Room” games shop on Mill Street in Burlington. They shared 22 pictures with us from their day.

READERS OF THE PACK CAMP

This group did a lot of read-alouds during their camp. Often during and between their reading they worked on craft-making projects. And, then of course they time to play outdoors during the beautiful summer weather. Link to 6 Pictures of the campers showing off some of their creations and enjoying a food treat.

CHICKENS AND GARDENING AND BIKING CAMP

The campers harvested some potatoes, beets and cucumbers in the early morning. After that, they watched the soccer game and then played some indoor games. Link to Pictures. And here are more pictures just sent in.
