SNOWZILLA THE SNOWPLOW CAME TO ST. ALBANS CITY SCHOOL

You will recall that our school voted on a set of names for a snowplow that were put forth by the younger students in our school. Snowzilla got the most votes. This Thursday morning, 11-17-2022, Snowzilla the snowplow showed up, and many of the PreK and Kindergarteners stepped out in the cold weather to have their pictures taken with the plow and driver. Check out this link to their 16 photos.

FITTING SKI BOOTS FOR WINTER JAY PEAK SKI TRIPS

Two staff members from Jay Peak visited the school on Thursday morning to fit students in advance of their trips to the ski resort. They brought an array of sizes in order to come up with a sizing list for each community’s students. When learning communities show up at the resort this winter, the correctly sized boots will be ready for them to use. This process expedites their time for skiing once they get to Jay Peak. Renaissance Operation Happiness

Renaissance is again helping Operation Happiness this year. We encourage you to donate non-perishable food items. These will be collected at the classrooms. All the food gets sorted out and then we drive over and donate it to Operation Happiness. Team Renaissance has been helping our community donate to Operation Happiness for a many years. If we reach 1,000 items collected, we will have a school wide popcorn party!

Donations will be accepted November 28th-December 8th

Thank You!

WREATHS ACROSS AMERICA

What is Wreaths Across America?

It is a program where we honor deceased veterans by putting wreaths on their graves. Team USA is working with local Veterans groups to enhance the tradition throughout our community.  Students will be holding a ceremony on December 16th at Mt Calvary Cemetery in St. Albans, VT. This is a national event held each December.  For more information visit www.wreathsacrossamerica.org

Please consider supporting these efforts. Order form. Completed forms can be delivered to Team USA.

Thank you,  Team USA
