PICTURES IMAGINATION 1ST GRADE & VOYAGERS 5TH GRADE - BACHAND & BASHAW Each Friday these two classroom groups pair for an activity. This past week, the goal was to make a fishing net with string, yarn or paper to catch “fish”. Making the nets took up the whole class period. The two groups enjoyed the social and creative time together. Link to 17 Pictures. TROUT UPDATE The trout continue to get bigger and bigger. The patterns in their scales or skin are becoming more visible. They are now speckled on top and have the large spots on their sides. Their fins on the bottom side are starting show orange color as well. They are now about as long as pinky finger of a kindergarten student. Link to Video Clip. OPEN DOORS - COMMUNITY SERVICE - TAYLOR Community Service yesterday made placemats for Meals on Wheels. Meals on Wheels agreed to deliver a placemat with meals they serve to people in the community. If anyone is interested in making some more placemats come see Miss Jess. Link to 4 Pictures. TWINS

MRUSD COMMUNITY CONVERSATION Please join us this Saturday. We want to bring people together for a community conversation. Conversation is best when we are together. If you are unable to join us in person and require accommodations, please reach out to Erin Rocheleau by Wednesday, April 12th. Help the Maple Run Unified School District to be successful for all students. The priorities are: ● Rigorous academics ● Community education about injustice and inclusion ● Bias and discipline policies ● Support services for students and families ● Family and community engagement We wanted to better understand the challenges people are facing, and to hear people’s hopes for the young people that live and go to school in our community. |
