NEWS AND PICTURES MYSTERY CAMP Here are photos from this week's Mystery camp. The campers completed an indoor scavenger hunt Monday, brainstormed mystery vocabulary words, practiced creating Venn diagrams, cracked and wrote codes using ciphers, and did a nature scavenger hunt in the wetlands. The camp leaders feel like they have a great group of detectives to be with! Link to 15 Pictures. PreK CAMP - KOSKI Campers had a great time making a mural with paint splatters. It was fun but a bit messy. Link to Pictures. PreK CAMP KOSKI - ADDITIONAL PICTURES Here are pictures of the campers playing on the new PreK/kindergarten merry-go-round, pictures of campers making a mess with a concoction similar to shaving cream and campers painting. Photos provided by the camp staff. Link to 25 Photos. COMMUNITY SERVICE On Wednesday, the community service campers went to Hard'ack and learned how to work together and cut and stack wood. It was a great day. Link to 5 Pictures. SCAVENGING AND GEOCACHING Campers explored the Aldis Hill and Hard'ack woods. Two key places they visited were the overlook of the city and the location of the wolf monument. Link to 4 Pictures. BASKETBALL CAMP Campers sharpened their basketball skills at the BFA gym during the first few days of the camp. On Wednesday, the camp shifted its practice site to St. Albans City School large gym. This switch of locations is a better match for our campers. Link to Pictures. BAY CAMP FISHING In this camp, campers are expected to practice their fishing skills daily. They also have ample opportunity to play various physical games (volleyball, frisbee, etc.) or do craftwork at the Bay shelters. Link to 4 Pictures. CUSTODIANS The custodians are working hard to empty classrooms of tables, chairs and supplies so that floors can be properly waxed and polished for the upcoming school year. Link to 7 Pictures. INFORMATION ABOUT TEMPORARY SUMMER FOOD BENEFITS FOR ALL STUDENTS All students at our school will be receiving the Summer P-EBT benefit of $120 which can be spent on food at the grocery store, farmers markets, and some convenience stores and online retailers.
